Sledding!!

Gary is unfortunately on call again this weekend so Natalie and I headed down for a quick trip to my parents.  They have a great sledding hill for little ones in their backyard so we took a few runs this morning.  Natalie enjoyed the first two or three times then she was getting wet and cold and was done.  Sasha loved it as you will be able to see in the pictures, and I think Mommom and Poppop enjoyed it the most!!  We call Nat our little "Snow Leopard" in her bunting Uncle Eric and Aunt Cara got her.

Her first run- getting a good push

Sasha was practically on the sled with Nat as soon as it stopped

Collision course (amazingly not)

Visiting Daddy

Last weekend Gary was on call all Saturday so Natalie and I decided to go visit him at work.  She had a great time visiting her Daddy, she was so excited to see him and he was so proud carrying her around and showing her off.  Amazingly he was free for a good 30 minutes or so to hang out with us.  Then, as I tell Natalie often, he had to go make a sick kid feel better.  We found this a very fitting spot to take a picture since Gary says this is where Nat is going to school!!

Sisters' Sleeping

Natalie has recently been transitioning into a rather good napper.  We had previously nicknamed her 'Cat nap Nat' but the other morning she took almost a three hour nap.  Sasha on the other hand is, and has always been, an excellent napper.  She can sleep ALL day.  I quick snapped a picture the other day of both of our girls sleeping.

Nat's Lion

The "big" gift, if you want to call it that, we got Natalie for Christmas was a toy to help her start walking.  I know it's a little premature, but I figured she would need it before too long.  Gary put it together for us last night and Natalie loves it already.  It is designed to be pushed initially, and then can become a toy she can ride on later.  Natalie is no where close to pushing her lion yet but she loves sitting on it and being pushed around.  She looks so big sitting on it!!

New Ornaments

I was a little picture happy Sunday night and took some pictures of a few really cool ornaments we received or purchased this year.  Thought I would share a few:

Natalie's first ornament courtesy of Gary's parents

Gary and I have these same snowman from our first Christmas.  Would love to end up with the whole set (no I didn't buy them all already like I did with the stockings)

Pretty.  Well stated.

This is the Hershey stamp from 2007 that we used for all of our wedding invitations

Christmas Stockings

This was a big debate for me this Christmas. Gary and I had real cute Santa stockings that I bought when we got married. I looked hard for a coordinated stocking for Natalie, it didn't have to match perfectly but I wanted it to not clash at least. I couldn't find any I liked that would work. I than found a set of stockings on line that I fell in love with. There was a Mr. & Mrs. Clause stocking for Gary and I, and then there was four different stockings that would be perfect for the kids. I started just buying Natalie one, then I got concerned what if I couldn't find them when we had more kids so I bought a few more for our future kids (plus one extra just in case- hey you never know, better safe than sorry). I wanted to get the Mr. & Mrs. Clause ones for Gary and I but I think Gary would have had a heart attack- buying for the kids we don't have yet gave him a few palpitations. I tried to think of a way around buying them myself. A few people asked me for some suggestions for Christmas gifts and I mentioned the stockings. Then on Saturday I was so excited when I opened my gift and saw that my cousin had ordered them for me, monogramed and all. I now have the whole set. And then to make things even better, my parents got us low profile stocking holders so I can still keep my nativity on the mantel out of the reach of little hands. So excited- I certainly don't want to take my decorations down now!

Bath Tub

Over the past month Natalie graduated to the big tub.  If she liked bath time before, she is now in LOVE with it.  I would venture to say it is her favorite time of the day, though after looking at these pictures you may argue dinner time is her favorite.  She is a certainly a big & HEALTHY girl!!

Can you count all those rolls??

This is a great picture of her first two teeth.  As of yesterday she has two more!  I think it is safe to assume that in the next few days she will get another two- totaling six.  Nat's teeth are coming in in the wrong order.  On Friday she cut a side tooth on the top left.  Yesterday she cut her front right top tooth.  I am just hoping the front left comes in soon.  Teething this time around is a little more tolerable cause Nat is now old enough to hold her own teething ring.  She is so cute with them- she carried her color coordinated (it matched her outfit perfectly) teething ring around while shopping at the outlets last week.  She is just too adorable- her Mom and Dad just melt every time they see her, how can you not?
We have been blessed with the sweetest little girl who is excited to be a big sister any day now. Gary is still trucking through his second year of residency and I am fortunate enough to be staying home with our little ones.
