Week 11

11 weeks down- we are over a quarter of the way there!  Less than 3 weeks and we are in our 2nd trimester.  I am really looking forward to it- hoping that I get some of my energy back!  We told our friends here in Hershey this weekend which was a lot of fun.  Everyone seem really excited and shocked to say the least.  There were a few seconds of silence after Gary announced it.  We had a great weekend catching up with friends while Gary was in town.  Friday night was a pre Penn State football party, then we watched the game with friends on Saturday.  Saturday night we went with Terry and Beth to a flashlight corn maze down in Lancaster. 

Our baby this week is over an inch and a half long and approximately the size of a fig.  The past few weeks it seems like our little one has been growing so rapidly.  They now describe the baby as being almost "fully formed."  Their little hands are formed and they are now able to start opening and closing their fists.  Little tiny teeth are forming under their gums and some of their bones are now beginning to harden.  

While Gary was home this weekend we took my next belly shot- 11 weeks and 1 day.  Sasha wanted to be in the picture too and show off her belly as well.  I wore the same shirt for comparison purposes. 

Gary and I did some window shopping on some of the things we are going to need in the next year.  Gary got a little overwhelmed by the amount of thing such a tiny baby needs (and the space it is going to occupy!)  Fortunately we still have plenty of time.  Here is a picture of the awesome blanket Mom made the baby.
