Week 10

Hey Everyone!  Sorry this post is a little late.  The exciting part is that there may be a few more people reading our blog since we have started to tell people.  After getting a quick peak at our little one last week and seeing their little heart beating the excitement was getting to be too much.  The "word" is still not out.  We are telling certain "populations" of our life (if that is what you want to call it).  The main thing is we really enjoy telling people in person and therefore are telling groups of people when we see them.  We are especially looking forward to telling Gary's grandparents in person.  We, unfortunately, will not see them till Thanksgiving, therefore we are still trying to keep our pregnancy off facebook and other social networks until that time that way they do not hear through the grapevine.  This past weekend we went away with my Dad's side of the family and got to tell everyone there.  We are hoping to hang out with most of our friends here in Hershey in the next week or two and tell them the good news as well.  Ok enough about this... time for the good stuff!!

Our little one is getting bigger everyday.  Our baby is now over an inch long and is considered a fetus (we have moved beyond the embryonic stage).  They are about the size of a kumquat this week ( I have no idea what that is).  So here is a picture of one.

Other news about this baby- the baby is kicking and moving around a lot right now.  Unfortunately this is not something I can appreciate yet.  Right now the babies head takes up close to half of its body but in no time the body will catch up.  Most of the vital organs are functioning now they just need time to grow and mature.  Tiny fingernails are developing as well as fine hair covering the baby.

As far as other news for us for the week- Gary is enjoying rotating at Jefferson but it has made him realize how much he likes Hershey (which makes his wife very happy).  Interviews for residency are starting to come as well- we will certainly have a busy beginning of December with a lot of traveling for Gary.  Planning interviews is a logistical nightmare though.  Unfortunately our camera is down with Gary cause there are some pictures I would like to take to post of baby related things.  I guess it is time for a new belly shot as well because I can definitely say that I think I am showing.  Others tend to laugh at me when I say this but I can tell and see a difference!!!   Hope everyone has a great week.  Hopefully on my next post I will have some new pics to post as well.

We have been blessed with the sweetest little girl who is excited to be a big sister any day now. Gary is still trucking through his second year of residency and I am fortunate enough to be staying home with our little ones.
