Week 21

This week our little one is about the length of a banana, measuring approximately 10.5 inches from head to toe.  They are weighing in right around 3/4 of a pound!  I am now feeling the baby move throughout the day- it seems like our little banana kicks around for a while, finds a comfy position, sleeps for a while then wakes up and starts the cycle over.  It is such a rewarding feeling!  The most interesting thing they mentioned in this week's update is that the babies taste buds are forming and functioning.  Apparently the baby will be more interested in foods that I consumed during my pregnancy- never knew that.

I think Gary should win "Father of the Year Award" already before the baby is even born.  Before we got married Gary stated that there was one thing he will not do.  I think he even fit it into his vows somewhere.  Gary DOES NOT paint.  Considering we only have one room left in out house that "we" have not painted, he had managed not to pick up a paint brush yet (fortunately for him I enjoy painting).  Well our little one has powers over him already, at negative 4 months old.  I thought it might take a month or two, guess I was wrong.  Just have to throw in this picture- when I saw this onsie I just had to buy it cause this will be Gary if we have a little girl.

Anyway continuing on with the closet update.  Gary was very busy painting this past week and as of today hung up the last shelf.  It looks great- we essentially doubled the square footage of shelving in each closet.  Here is a picture of the closet and Gary angrily painting!

Didn't he do a great job!!!!

Here is my week 21 belly pic.  We're getting a little bigger.

Hope everyone had a great week.  Please continue to remember and pray for all the people of Haiti.

We have been blessed with the sweetest little girl who is excited to be a big sister any day now. Gary is still trucking through his second year of residency and I am fortunate enough to be staying home with our little ones.
