Week 32

Happy Easter everyone!  Hope everyone had a great weekend, enjoyed the beautiful weather and got to spend some quality time with family.  Gary and I had a very nice weekend here in Hershey.  Gary's parents stopped by this afternoon for a late lunch.  They were able to see the nursery as well as some of the updates we have made on the house over the past year or two.  Yesterday Gary, Sasha and I packed a picnic lunch and went on a hike (more like a walk) at Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation Area.  As we ate our lunch we discussed how excited we are to do this later this summer with our little one.  Here are a few pictures from our picnic and walk.  

While we had the opportunity we took my 32 week belly shot as well.

I had my doctors appointment last week which went very well.  Everything seems to be right on track, the baby seems to be growing appropriately.  They are not 100% certain but they believe the baby is head down already.  We go back again in another 2 weeks.  This week we also start Childbirth Class.  I do feel bad for Gary because I signed us up for multiple classes, one being Infant CPR and Safety (which we have both had Infant CPR multiple times previously).  Lucky Gary also gets to go to Breastfeeding Class.  We are really looking forward to the Infant Care and Childbirth classes.  

The baby is approximately 16.7 inches long and weighs 3.75 pounds.  Over the next 7 weeks, the baby gains about a half a pound a week and will gain a third to a half of their total birth weight.  The baby now has fingernails, toenails, real hair (or peach fuzz) and their skin is becoming soft and smooth and their wrinkles are fading.   That is it for this weekend, but prepare yourself- next week is a new food comparison.
