Week 15

Week 15-  Wendy has been very busy with work and the holidays, and seeing how I have a few minutes to spare right now, we decided that I will write the post this week.  Not much news to update you all on.  Wendy has been feeling pretty well in general.  We were able to get our christmas tree last week and set it up, but it is not quite fully decorated yet.  The tree that we ended up with was our second choice, seeing how our prized tree that we cut down broke in half as we were putting it on the Jeep!  And when I say broke in half, I don't mean top and bottom... it split right up the trunk into 2 separate trees!  I will try to post some pictures of it if we have them; it was really funny!

Anyway, on with the baby post....  Our baby is now the size of a Navel orange.

I hope this means that the length is the same as the diameter of a navel orange, or that would be one round little baby!  Their legs are now longer than their arms (sounds like a good thing to me), and they are able to move their joints.  Although the baby is moving a lot, Wendy will probably not be able to feel it for a few more weeks.  Their lungs are beginning to mature, and they started forming taste buds.  More interesting though is that although their eyelids are still fused shut, they should be able to sense light.  Supposedly if I shine a flashlight at Wendy's belly, the baby will move away from it.  Seeing as how Wendy is sleeping at the moment, I better wait until later until I try this one, because I don't think the baby will be the only one angered by the flashlight!

Here is the updated bump picture.  Once again it was an early morning shot, and Sasha is not the most photogenic at this hour.

Here is Sasha's early morning picture.

That is all that I have for now.  We will try to post again this weekend to get back on schedule.  Saturday will officially be the start of week 16.  I hope you are enjoying the updates.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions or requests.  Have a great week everybody. - Gary

We have been blessed with the sweetest little girl who is excited to be a big sister any day now. Gary is still trucking through his second year of residency and I am fortunate enough to be staying home with our little ones.
