Well I just got back from my OB appointment and things are going very well. It was another uneventful visit. It was great to hear the babies heartbeat of course- always a refreshing sound. Baby seems to be growing according to schedule as is my belly. Here is my 23 week picture.
Our little one has been very active this week. I was certain he or she was doing summersaults Sunday morning. It was constant movement and they were all over my belly. Gary has been able to feel some big kicks and movements which is always shocking to him. He is surprised at their strength already! We have now jumped over the pound mark as far as the babies weight- I wish that meant I only gained a pound so far but unfortunately pregnancy doesn't work that way. Wouldn't it be great if you only put on 7-10 pounds (the weight of the baby) with the whole pregnancy. I certainly think so. Our little one is measuring over 11 inches in length already. Their sense of movement is well developed as well as their hearing. They are apparently getting use to Sasha's occasional bark so that it may not scare them as much once they are out of the womb.
Otherwise, things have been going very well for Gary and I. I finally feel like we have caught up with life. Our house projects are all done, the house is more organized and clean than it has been since we moved in, and we even got back to the gym this weekend. Unfortunately Gary left for Lehigh Valley Hospital this morning and will be spending the month there and at Mom and Dads. He fortunately will be home on the weekends. This is his last away rotation (yey!). He really only has to get through two more months of rotations, one class and before we know it he will be graduating and will be a father. We are just so excited.
Hope everyone is staying warm and dry! Happy Groundhog's Day!
