Gary and I had a great weekend. We had wonderful weather both Saturday and Sunday (by wonderful I mean in the 40's). We actually got to take Sasha out for a nice walk around Hershey on Saturday. On Sunday Mom and Dad came to visit. We received our baby gift a little early. Mom and Dad took us shopping for a glider/recliner and we ended up finding one and bringing home yesterday. It fits our room wonderfully and is the most comfortable chair. It will certainly make feeding and getting our little one to sleep that much easier (and more comfortable for us)!! This past week I also went shopping and picked out outfits to bring our little one home in. Since we don't know what we are having I just had to get an outfit for a little girl as well as a little boy!! I am in love with the girls outfit. I am not 100% sold on the little boys outfit- it is very cute but I am still looking around. Here are some pictures from this week!
The baby is now weighing in at about a pound and 2/3rds, getting closer to the two pound mark. His or her length is now approximately 14 inches! It is just amazing to think of how a 14 inch little baby is fitting in my abdomen/pelvis. I guess that explains why I get short of breath a little quicker (there is just not as much room for all my organs in there). The baby's hearing is continuing to develop and they can now hear coversations Gary and I have. They are also practicing breathing by swallowing small amounts of amniotic fluid, in preparation to help them take their first few breaths in this world. I just think how a baby develops is the most amazing process.
Well I think that is it for tonight. Time to go watch some Olympics- I am loving this. There is good TV to fall asleep to every night. I hope everyone is doing well. We are almost through winter! I am very excited for this weekend 1) for the reasons mentioned above- 3rd trimester, month 7 but also 2) because Gary comes home and stays home. This past month with him gone has passed by so quickly which is truly a blessing. Miss you all
Wen
