I am having a harder time finding facts for each week at this point- sorry there is just not as many big changes at this point- mainly just our little one putting on weight and getting taller. The baby is now 2 pounds and 14.5 inches long. They state that the baby is likely to have sleep and wake cycles which I would definitely have to agree with. Our baby seems to get very active right when I try to go to bed and is very active first thing in the morning. Today was the first time I felt our little one hiccuping. Gary and I were both able to feel some body part on the right side of my abdomen today- not sure what it is yet. The baby may even be sucking their finger now as well as opening and closing their eyes.
Gary is now back in Hershey for good! It is so nice to have him home all the time. In just a little over two weeks (16 days but who is counting) is Match Day. Match day is the day when all the fourth year medical students find out where they are going for residency. I anticipate it to be a very bitter sweet day for us. Gary and I are hoping to stay here in Hershey and will be ecstatic if he is able to do his residency here. The sad part is that we will find out where all are friends are headed. We are all just very anxious to know where we will be living come June. Other than that things have been going very well. Gary and I are going on a "mini vacation" with Brad and Jen (Gary's brother and his girlfriend). We are both very excited for a weekend away. The guys may even get a day of skiing in which is something Gary has not been able to do for a while.
Well I will leave you with a picture of our project from this past weekend. Friends of ours gave us their bouncer seat and I made the mistake of asking Gary if he could add water to the "aquarium" element on the bouncer. After taking the whole bouncer apart we could not find any place to add water so in a true medical professional fashion we took a needle and syringe and injected the water into the tubing! It now works perfectly.
Hope everyone is doing well and has a great week!
