We also had our "28-week" appointment last week. Everything is still going very well. My belly (fundus) was measuring around 26.5 weeks; a little small but certainly within an acceptable range. It made me think that I am going to go late but who knows! I also had to take my glucose tolerance test to check for diabetes. Fortunately the test was no where near as bad as I had heard and I have not been called back to repeat it yet so that is good news- hopefully I passed. We saw Dr. MacNeill, a OBGyn Gary had worked with previously and who had taught some of Gary's small groups a few years ago. If I could ever call a doctor's visit fun it would have to have been that visit. He was very informative, helping Gary and I with some of our debates regarding the delivery and he made it all seem stress free and very do-able. Another blessing is that we don't have to go back for another three weeks- I was almost certain I would have to start going in every two weeks. And of course we got to hear our little ones heart beat again!
And now time for our next food comparison. The Bump website considers weeks 29- 32 month 7, therefore according to their site I am now 7 months pregnant and the baby is about the size of a squash.
I think my belly is starting to look larger than a squash though!
I keep hearing from the girls at work that my belly grows overnight. They can't believe how much it has changed over the past month (I can't either). Anyways, our precious little one is two and a half pounds and over 15 inches long. I just can't believe how fast this is all going and how big the baby is getting. I have been fortunate that despite having a rather active child, I still enjoy the kicks and hiccups (meaning that he or she have not given me a painful punch or a kick into the ribs yet). The babies 5 senses are functional by the end of this month and their energy is soaring!!
Well, I think I will have to do something I have not done my whole "blogging experience!" There is going to have to be 2 blog posts this week. Once we find out if we get to stay in Hershey or if we are going to have to move I will be sure to let you know - certainly you are all just as anxious as we are ;)! Hope everyone is having a great week. Gary, Sasha and I are definitely looking forward to the warm weather later this week.

I measured small, too, and Lydia came right before 39 weeks. But she was breech. And even labor didn't flip her. So maybe I'm no help. Shucks. Yay for a match! Wonder where you'll be . . . - danielle
ReplyDeleteHaha thanks Danielle. I guess only time will tell!
